Hardness
The Hardness of the minerals is the resistance from getting scratched. German scientist Friedrich Mohs asked himself a question in 1812. He developed a scale of ten minerals with a hardness value of 1 to 10. The scale was called Mohs hardness scale. Diamonds have a hardness rate of 10, so it's the hardest mineral known to man, for now.
