Earth's Crust
The crust is the solid shell of the Earth. There are two types of crusts, they are the oceanic and the continental crusts. The Oceanic crust is less than 10km thick and it's the part of Earths lithosphere that surfaces the oceans basins.
The Continental crust is the layer of the Earth that is mostly made up of the igneous, sedimentary and metamorpic rocks, which also make up the 7 continents. The Continental crust is thicker than the oceanic and about 40% of the earth is now underlain by the continental crust. The continental crust make up about 70% of the Earth's crust.
